Sometimes businesses are like Russian nesting dolls. You start with an incredibly small one, one that you have a personal relationship with and know the names of those working inside. They answer your calls personally, and can even remember your name when you call.
But then a slightly larger business buys them, swallows them up, integrates them into their current plan. You work with different people, perhaps some of whom are assigned specifically to you, to answer your questions and handle any issues you have come up.
But this keeps going, and suddenly, you’re calling into a major corporation, getting a machine answering your calls, trying desperately to find someone who has any inkling about your needs or has experience working with you in the past, and they just aren’t there. You’ve become a number, and that business you started working with all that time ago is still in there—still in that corporation—but the relationship you had with them is long gone.
That was Jack Riddle’s experience. Jack is the IT Manager for Our Lady of Providence High School. They already had a cloud backup solution. In fact, they even used a platform powered by Asigra, like echopath’s. They liked the platform just fine. It provided them with everything they needed, particularly the security necessary to keep the information on their students safe.
But suddenly a larger company bought the provider they worked with. And then that one, that new provider, got bought by an even larger company. With every purchase, Jack and his school became a smaller and smaller player. What started as a relationship became calling a generic support line and maybe getting a call back later, and, if you were lucky, having a solution some time within 48 hours.
Jack reached out to echopath. The quality of the platform was there—he knew Asigra and loved what they provided. Echopath’s cloud backup services, powered by Asigra, have been architected to remove the IT management time and hardware, software, and service-related costs of tape-based solutions. The fully automated service is supported by an experienced team that actively monitors all backup activities daily to check and double-check backup and recovery logs for failures, errors, and overall success.
And what he really liked was that when he has an issue, he knows they’re only a phone call away. He gets a response quickly, and a solution when he needs it.
We’re proud to have Jack and Our Lady of Providence as clients. And we’re excited to help you with your cloud backup needs as well. Get in touch, and we’ll be glad to help you out.
